About Us

The Shine Zamnal NGO – Mongolian Quilting Center

Since 2004, the Shine Zamnal NGO has been empowering women and revitalizing Mongolian arts and crafts. As the pioneering organization to introduce patchwork and quilting to Mongolia, we've trained over 4,000 women in both urban and rural areas, including many who face economic hardship, single parenthood, disability, or low income.

Our mission is to:

  • Empower Women: Provide skills and opportunities to improve their livelihoods.

  • Foster Economic Development: Support local artisans and promote sustainable practices.

  • Preserve Cultural Heritage: Revitalize traditional Mongolian arts and crafts.

  • Promote Sustainability: Encourage upcycling and eco-friendly practices.

By learning the art of quilting, our participants gain valuable skills, boost their self-esteem, and create beautiful, handcrafted products. Our work has not only empowered individuals but has also contributed to the economic growth of local communities.

What We Do

“Piecing together a better future for Mongolian women.”
